Little Learners Story Time
CPL - West Loop, 122 N. Aberdeen, Chicago
Wednesdays, March 27-April 17, 10:30am-11am
Little ones ages 12 months to 3 years (with an adult) will enjoy books and songs during CPL's Little Learners Story Time. Tickets will be made available by library staff on a first come, first served basis starting at 10:00 am. Visit the CPL website for more details.
Littles Story Time

Chicago Public Library's youngest patrons will enjoy this lap sit story time, where. stories, nursery rhymes, songs, fingerplays, and knee bounces will be shared. Ages 0-3 with an adult. Registrations may be made in person or by phone, (312) 746-5656.
Movies in the Park

Garfield Conservatory has various family programs, including the popular "Wild Wednesdays," when children get to explore nature, get their hands dirty and discover new things about plants, animals and nature.
Flashlight Egg Hunt at Garibaldi Park

Change things up a bit by taking the kids to Little Italy for some night time Easter egg hunting! Participants (ages 3-12) must bring their own flashlights or cell phones for light. Visit the Chicago Park District website for more information.
Free Family Admission Days at the Field

Free Admission Days are the perfect time to explore the Field Museum and discover its excellent exhibitions. Basic admission is free for Illinois residents with proof of residency on dates noted.

Kids of all ages will enjoy the Easter festivities hosted by Soul City Church at this popular West Loop park. Be prepared to share the lawn with hundreds of neighborhood families who will be kept busy with games and activities, as well as four egg hunts, the first starting promptly at 9:30 a.m. Contact the nice folks at Soul City Church for more details about this event and to find out the ages for each egg hunt time slot.
Chicago Kids & Kites Festival
Cricket Hill, on Wilson & W. Montrose Drive, Chicago

The Kids & Kites Festival is one of Chicago's favorite springtime family events and it's coming back to its usual spot on Cricket Hill. The City of Chicago will provide free kite kits, while supplies last, for children to get creative as they build, decorate and fly their own kites. Kids will enoy synchronized kite flying maneuvers throughout the day as well other fun activities. Check website for updates and more information about this event.
Family Fishing at Northerly Island
Northerly Island, 1521 S. Linn White Dr., Chicago

Learn how to fish during Family Fishing at Northerly Island! This class is for families with children ages 8 years old and up, and includes in-class instruction and on-the-water fishing. Professional instruction is provided by Chicago's Fish 'N' Kids Program fishing instructors. Fishing instruction, equipment and bait are provided. An adult must accompany child. A fishing kicense is required for people ages 16 years of age and older attending his event. Call 312-859-2395 with questions. ($5 per person)
Polish Constitution Day Parade

Greek Heritage Parade

Chicago's annual Greek Heritage Parade celebrates the anniversary of the Greek declaration of independence. Since 1964, the Greek-American community has brought us this lively event, which features colorful traditional costumes, floats, and marchers. Dia del Nino (Children's Day)

Día del Niño is a national holiday in Mexico that celebrates children throughout the country. Families are invited to enjoy a free day of fun with children at the National Museum of Mexican Art, where you can check out their latest exhibits, take part in physical activities and hands-on art projects, attend free health screenings, enjoy live music and dance, and more.
